Discover Vienne with a flashlight while taking part in the nocturnal game offered by the application Tèrra Aventura in Vouneuil-sous-Biard. At nightfall, test “ The Great Illusion » a 3,5 km course on the theme of magic and wolves. A beautiful walk of about 1h30 awaits you on a path between river and forest, during which you will have to solve different puzzles with the light of your flashlights.
This nocturnal course helps to make all members of the family aware of the fauna and flora. Departure is from the Castors car park in Vouneuil-sous-Biard.

Departing from the park Clos de la Ribaudiere, explore the Clain river by night aboard a canoe or a two-seater or single-seater kayak. THE Canoe-kayak club of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou organizes night outings every Wednesday in the summer.

Every year, the Dartagnans start-up organizes The Night of the Castles to raise public awareness of heritage preservation. During this weekend, hundreds of castles open their doors at nightfall to enjoy an extraordinary night experience.
In the department of Vienne, several monuments are partners of this event. A magical night to enjoy with the family! The 2024 edition will take place from Friday October 18 to Sunday October 20.
In past years these heritage treasures could be visited by moonlight:
• THE Chateau de la Mothe Chandeniers : The castle from another angle. At the beginning of the evening, the monument welcomes you to offer you illuminations with a background of music. You also have the opportunity to visit the park.
• Montreuil Bonnin Castle : A magical evening at the Château de Montreuil-Bonnin. This emblematic monument of the medieval military history of Poitou overlooks the Boivre valley. For this event, the association of friends of the castle is planning several activities: Celtic music concert, candles, illuminations... Everything is there to spend an unforgettable moment in a unique place!
• Berrye Fortress : Various activities are on the program: country buffet, wine tastings, night visit to the monument and image and light games. The fortress is highlighted thanks to the visual artist François Chauvin. It projects active and still images in the castle chapel and the large hypostyle hall of the moat.

Open to the public since 2018, the Chateau de la Mothe-Chandeniers offers every year a program rich in events. Come and live new experiences in a place out of time, by participating in theme evenings. Enjoy a drink and local terrines in a festive atmosphere and in an exceptional setting, with family or friends.
Every Thursday in July and August, a terrace is installed at the foot of the castle and lights up at dusk. For the period Halloween, the fortress is transformed to make young and old shiver in the evening. Skeletons and pumpkins invade the park and the monument is dressed in orange and black. For the Christmas vacation, the Venetian facade of the castle and its park are adorned with light. Live a magical moment in this setting that invites you to dream and that will make your children's eyes sparkle!
