The Christmas festivities in Poitiers: a must, with lovely new features that will please the whole family!

Head to Poitiers city center to celebrate Christmas

Magical novelties invade the streets of the center of the city of a hundred steeples, to celebrate the Christmas holidays as they should be! The launch of the festivities will take place on Friday, November 29! 

On the Place du Maréchal Leclerc (Place de la Mairie)

• Around forty chalets will be installed on the square from November 29. 
• Saturday, November 30: come and admire the illuminations of the city of Poitiers.
• La big Wheel which will be put into service on Monday, November 18! 

The entire city center of Poitiers comes to life

• Every weekend, Street performances will take place to amaze young and old alike.
• From 21 to 29 December, have fun during a carriage or pony ride 
• From Saturday December 7th to Sunday January 5th, come and see the Fête Foraine du Blossac Park ! 
• Cross the city center in a small train and enjoy a stop at the Saint Croix Museum 
• And if you pay close attention, you will surely come across Santa ! 

Meet on the banks of the Clain at the Guinguette Pictave

For this year 2024, the Guinguette Pictave is organizing: 

• A Christmas market with local and eco-friendly products. Come and do your shopping!
• A gigantic forest of fir trees 
• A village of igloos 
• Fires in the braziers

For gourmets, delicious Savoyard fondues, soups and racletteshave been planned in the program. 

Experience the Futuroscope atmosphere in Christmas mode

Like every year, the Futuroscope park invites young and old to explore the park in a bright atmosphere, in Christmas colors from December 21 to January 5!

This year, a busy schedule! In addition to warming up in the Park's star attractions, come and meet Santa Claus and other characters for a family photo shoot. Enough to have unforgettable memories! 

Also enjoy the Christmas village where you will find braziers, chalets and tastings of all kinds. And there is also something for children: face painting, balloon sculptures, stories and gourmet breaks all while listening to our favorite Christmas music. 

Continue your magical experience with the 3D film “The Bear and the Squirrel” as well as the famous show “The Key to Dreams”. 

The highlight of the show? Celebrate Christmas or New Year’s Eve with a New Year’s Eve dinner in the park!

Du November 16, 2024 to January 05, 2025, for the purchase of an adult ticket, a child ticket is offered! And for residents of the Vienne, the ticket for the Aquascope goes to 20€, to grab before the 20 December ! 

Spend a magical moment at the Château de la Mothe-Chandeniers

The Fairies are only Mothe-Chandeniers Castle that you will be able to live them! From 18 November to 5 January, the castle and its reflection in the water moat will be adorned with multiple lights and decorations to transport you to a completely different world, that of fairy tales.

End the year in style, with these illuminations filled with softness for the eyes, which will highlight each facade of this ruin that thousands of people are trying to save. Enjoy!

Travel to the Valley of Frescoes

Immerse yourself in the magic of the holidays with the musical video show “Alice’s Dream”, presented at theSaint-Savin Abbey, invites you to a poetic and visual journey to the heart of the Valley of Frescoes. Enjoy an unforgettable moment with family or friends. 26, 27 and 28 december, with two screenings each evening, at 18h30 and 20h00. And that's not all !
