Christmas is celebrated in a big way in Poitiers!

This year, the launch of the festivities will take place on November 28 Rediscover the city center with its festive events on every street corner! 

• Le Christmas market and its Ferris wheel: rides, gift ideas, food, local producers and artisans await you
• La funfair In Blossac: for lovers of thrills, laughter and sweets!
• Illumination from the façade of the Notre-Dame-La-Grande church: a unique creation, every evening from 19pm to 22pm starting November 29th
• Le Christmas Village Place Charles de Gaulle: Berber tent, braziers, shows, playful installations, dagograph, fake skin station - enough to take a direct plunge into the Arctic Ocean!

Heading towards Tison, 1800 meters

Put on your après-ski boots and head to the Tison resort at 1800 meters! From November 28th, the Guinguette Pictave Donning its Christmas coat and rebranding itself! Welcome to the Tison 1800-meter resort! Strings of lights, wooden chalets, igloos, fire pits: a true mountain village (minus the mountain part). Come and spend a cozy winter at the Tison 1800-meter resort!

A magical Christmas in La Mothe Chandeniers 

Du December 6 to January 4, 2026Immerse yourself in a magical world at the Château de la Mothe-Chandeniers. Embark on a magical stroll through the heart of the park, where thousands of lights transform every path into a true fairy tale.

Warning, Exceptionally closed on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.

Are we celebrating Christmas in Châtellerault? 

From December 5th to 31st, Châtellerault transforms into a giant Christmas village! An unforgettable program awaits you:

A Christmas on the Farm! (for Young Children) 

Come and spend a festive and fun time with your family at the Ferme du Petit Âge. With a packed program that will delight young and old alike! 

• Animal feeding 
• Visit to the rabbit park 
• Visit to the guinea pig park 
• Brushing the donkeys
• Building a birdhouse

Activities suitable for children aged 3 and up are scheduled for Tuesday 23, Wednesday 24, Saturday 27 and Tuesday 30 December and January 2 and 3 from 14:30pm to 16pm!

Christmas comes to the museum 

Throughout the month of December, entry will be free to Sainte-Croix Museum A perfect opportunity for visitors to (re)discover the collections in a festive atmosphere! 

The grand parade of illuminated tractors 

Le December 13th in JournetDon't miss the parade of illuminated tractors! More than 40 decorated tractors will travel through our countryside to delight the whole family. Prepare to be dazzled! Santa Claus and elves will be there to hand out treats, exciting mascots will entertain the procession, and a fireworks display will close the evening! 

Plenty of music for a Christmas with a bang! 

• December 6th: Concert by the Harmonie band in the Notre-Dame du Planty church in Buxerolles, organized by the Buxerolles Municipal Harmony.
• December 6th: Christmas magic in the town centre of Verrières: "Tribal Jâze" takes you into a timeless folklore between Jazz and Rock.
• December 20th: “Christmas Lights” concert in the Saint-Jean-de-Montierneuf church PoitiersPerformed by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Choir. On the program: traditional songs and classic Christmas pieces.
• From November 28th to January 4th: Musical strolls in the Poitiers city center  Musical groups and brass bands will liven up the streets on weekends.

Christmas bells at the Château de Monts sur Guesnes 

Enjoy a family moment in the hushed atmosphere of the Château de Monts sur Guesnes, admiring the magnificent starry vault during a musical tale produced by L'Échauguette. On the program: a story by Guillaume de Moura and music by Alexis Marchand. 

This event will take place on December 26th and 27th at 17:30 PM. Please note! Tickets for the show do not include admission to the Castle, but combined tickets are available on the website!
