Tèrra Aventura, the free treasure hunt, accessible to all!
The territory of Vouillé has been occupied for a long time: Roman remains and a huge Merovingian necropolis have been discovered there. The famous battle of Vouillé, in 507, united France in the same religion thanks to the victory of Clovis the Frank over Alaric II the Visigoth.
Crossed by the Auxance, Vouillé is a pleasant town and you will come across Zarthus who walks along the river. As you pass, admire the gateway to the old town centre, the only remaining fortifications authorized in 1431 by King Charles VII to prevent the English from entering.
Charming 2 km walk.
