Forteresse d’Angles-sur-l’Anglin

The impressive 11th century Fortress of Angles rises more than 40 meters above the waters of the Anglin.
Of its tormented life, there remain today majestic ruins and a unique atmosphere...
It is therefore to a much calmer visit that we invite you, in this superb setting that is the most beautiful village of the Vienne, Angles-sur-l'Anglin.
From the top of one of the towers, you can admire a beautiful panorama over the Anglin valley with in particular the Sainte-Croix district and its superb flat-tiled houses and its Romanesque church.

The Anglin valley is classified as a "Natura 2000" natural site.
