Site/monument
Église Saint-Pierre de Thuré
Back
The church has preserved its XNUMXth and XNUMXth century origins, the choir, the transept, the portal and the east facade. The nave was rebuilt in the XNUMXth century. Recently restored, the Romanesque tuffeau apse from the XNUMXth century has three semi-circular bays, framed by columns with capitals whose modillions are decorated with human or monstrous heads.
Recently rediscovered, the XNUMXth century door of the dead is so named because it was used by coffin bearers. The XNUMXth century Chair is made of carved wood and stone.
