The Moulière forest massif, with more than 6 wooded hectares, is the largest forest area in the region. Vienne, also referred to as the department's "green lung".
This forest massif is made up of a state forest of approximately 4.200 hectares managed by the National Forestry Office and 2.700 hectares of private forests on the edge of the state forest.
The state-owned Moulière forest is open to the public. Due to its location between Poitiers and Châtellerault, between the valley of the Vienne and the Clain valley, it is perceived as a vast natural area with easy access. You will find large alleys or small winding paths that will allow you to discover all its diversity and riches.
