The trails at Monthoiron Castle

This summer, embark on a family adventure in the grounds of the Château de Monthoiron.
On the agenda: a puzzle trail Leonardo's Treasure  with puzzles to solve about the world of Leonardo da Vinci. Another trail, suitable for children aged 3 and up, is available.  Karmanor's Secret combining observation and reflection around creations made of LEGO® bricks.

The Magic Labyrinth of Sèvres-Anxaumont is back for its second year with brand new adventures! New immersive quests await the whole family. Day or night, the giant 4-hectare maze is waiting for you!

The Lyrical Evenings of Sanxay

August 8, 10 and 12

The Gallo-Roman theatre of Sanxay hosts its Lyric Evenings in its unique setting. This year, the public will be able to discover The Magic Flute, a two-act opera by Mozart.

The open-air cafes of La Mothe Chandeniers

This summer, the Château de la Mothe Chandeniers invites you to share convivial evenings at its open-air dances:

• Thursday, August 6 : Evening of "La Mothe at Games" with food truck
• Thursday, August 13 : Astronomy evening in partnership with the Saumur Astronomy Association
• Thursdays, August 20 and 27 : Guinguette evenings

Take advantage of these evenings to discover the castle in a new light, participate in tours, and enjoy delicious cocktails and local products in a warm and festive atmosphere. We hope to see you there!

Evening of Pre-dinner Drinks and Jazz Concert - Château de Ternay

15 August

A Jazz Concert and Aperitif Evening will take place at the Château de Ternay on Saturday, August 15th, from 19 pm to 22 pm. The Tulip Jazz group will be there to offer you an exceptional evening. On the program: a jazz evening in a stunning setting, with food and drinks available to fully enjoy the evening.

Remember to book your tickets and, as every year, all profits will be donated to the association Les Amis du Château de Ternay, in order to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of this historical heritage.

Chauvigny Medieval Festival

22 and 23 August 

Two days out of time in the heart of the city of five castles. The Medieval Festival of Chauvigny is an unmissable event to discover the city from a different perspective, between traditions, shows and live entertainment.

Medieval Festival at Marmande Castle

August 23 

In the heart of a site steeped in history, the Château will be transformed for a day into a truly authentic medieval village! Entertainment, demonstrations, and reenactments will fill the day. A complete immersion in the world of the Middle Ages! We wish you a pleasant journey!

Civic music 

August 29 

This free festival takes place in Civaux. Meet at the Théâtre de Verdure. Food trucks and a bar will be on site all evening. The lineup includes: Les Sympatifs, Daniel Balavoine (by HDB), Silly Monkeys, and Indochine (by Morphine). 

The Musical Hours of Ligugé Abbey

From August 27-30 

This sixth edition, organized by the Friends of Ligugé Abbey Association, revolves around the theme “Paths to Peace.” The program blends concerts, vocal works, and sacred music.

Poitiers Urban Trail

September 12 

The Poitiers Urban Trail has established itself as a must-do event to add to your running calendar in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. At the heart of the VienneA 10km route invites you to explore Poitiers in a new light, passing through its narrow streets, hidden treasures, and iconic landmarks. A great opportunity to (re)discover the city of a hundred bell towers through a dynamic and surprising Urban Trail, promising a sporting experience that is both friendly and memorable!

Monts-sur-Guesnes

September 13

What if the true treasure of Monts-sur-Guesnes lay underground? Thanks to the "Sundays of Character" program, discover an unusual heritage by exploring galleries carved into the rock. Ancient quarries, wine cellars, and mushroom farms tell the story of the men and women who shaped this village over time. This unique visit concludes with a tasting of local specialties.

Fête Médiévale au château de Montreuil-Bonnin

For a weekend, the Château de Montreuil-Bonnin transports you back several centuries. A medieval encampment, artisans, knights, and artists take over the grounds to bring the medieval era to life. European Heritage Days

The 43rd edition of the European Heritage Days is back! In 2025, there were 18,500 places to visit for free, 29,000 events organized, and 7.4 million visits throughout France! The program will be announced soon!
