Visit the St Rémy-sur-Creuse cave dwellings and learn all about their rich history of the area from the time of Richard the Lion Heart to the present day. Many exhibitions are presented in exceptional outdoor areas rich with fauna near ponds and lakes. You can search for the Little People in the Garden of Elves and Fairies.

Located only 20 km from Grand Pressigny, the flintstone world capital, Ethni'cité houses the Primitive Technology Centre where the visitor can learn about ancient and modern cultures. Visit the cave dwellings and discover the numerous tools our ancestors displayed in the exhibitions on primitive cultures.

Many workshops are offered to both children and adults: initiation to the art of fire, ceramic and jewellery making. You will also see archaeological digs in a specially designed site. Learn how to shape and polish prehistoric flint stone tools, arrow-heads or how to build wooded or animal skin dwellings. You will get an introduction to archaeological digs, thanks to the artifical dig site, and you will learn how art was practiced with natural ochres.

See how different populations all over the world lived and try your hand at hunting with a javelin, a technique still used by some people today.

Nearby : the lively La Roche Posay spa town, the Chateau des Ormes, and the Falaise des Ormes Museum.
