Coudret goat’s cheeses
Just 7 km from Futuroscope there is a little old-fashioned goat farm. The farm’s 25 goats are free to gambol in the meadow pastures. Everything they eat is grown on the farm.
The farmers make the cheeses according to a recipe handed down from generation to generation. After being left to air-dry, the chabichou cheeses are taken down to the natural cellar where they are left to mature for a long time. They are never put in a refrigerator, not even in the shop, which also includes a little museum about chabichou. Many other varieties of goat’s cheese are also available.
At the morning milking at about 10.30, you will meet Génova and the other goats.
The farm has been awarded ‘Route du Chabichou’ quality certification.
