Between the era of accounts books, letters and solicitors’ deeds painstakingly written with a quill pen and the age of efficient, fast and silent and computers, there was once a time when mechanical typewriters and calculating machines designed by ingenious pioneers were the latest technology.
At this permanent museum dedicated to their history, you can see these amazing machines, hear them working and in some cases even have a go on them. A retrospective over several centuries through more than 200 models on show.
