Église Saint-Martin

Church whose apse and choir are Romanesque. Church surmounted by a curious wall-tower with a single arcade. The oldest parts, transept and choir, are from the XNUMXth century.
Two tombstones exposed next to the church proviennent of the old cemetery.
The Saint-Martin church (XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries) offers a set of coherent frescoes and paintings, perfectly legible and with very rich symbolism, composed of:
- 10 7th century frescoes grouped into three themes (the conditions of salvation, the XNUMX deadly sins, hell and its punishments) and chapel decoration (the Last Supper, the martyrdom of Saint Sebastian).
- a set of XNUMXth century paintings having taken the same locations, subjects and elements of the frescoes prior to the XNUMXth century.

To see: the hosannière cross erected in the middle of the cemetery, the Cormenier.
Nearby: the Valley of the Monkeys.
