On the route of the Valley of the Frescoes, the Notre-Dame d'Antigny church, built in the Romanesque period, has undergone architectural alterations over the centuries.
In the XNUMXth century, a seigniorial chapel, dedicated to Sainte-Catherine, opened onto the choir, to the south of the church, and murals were then painted on its walls and on its vault. These are reminiscent of those in the funerary chapel of Jouhet. The nave of the church is also decorated with murals dating from different periods, from the Middle Ages. Restorations carried out in several campaigns have revealed, among other things, a set of XNUMXth century murals covering all the walls of the nave.
